In 1879 Germany & Austria joined together to make a Dual Alliance. In 1882 Italy joined them forming the Triple Alliance. These three countries agreed to support each other if they were ever attacked by France or Russia. (Political/ Military) -
Tripple entente (Supranationalism)
) In 1907 the Triple Entente was made! The countries in the alliance are Britain, Russia & France. The basically said that they would protect each other if one of them ever went under attack. (Political/ Military) -
Ireland/ Great Britain (Devolution)
In Great Britain there was a conflict between the Protestants and Catholics. They were at war with each other for a long time so they just decided to make Ireland for the Catholics and Great Britain was left for the Protestants. (Cultural) -
Europen Union (Supranationalism)
The members of the EU are France, Germany & the United Kingdom. The point of the EU is to establish a common currency to keep a steady economy. (Eonomic) -
ICO (Supranationalism. Cultural)
The members of the ICO are Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Benin, Burkinafaso. They purpose is to promote Islamic solidarity by coordinating social economic, scientific & cultural activities. (Cultural) -
OPEC. (Supranationalism. Economic)
OPEC was formed at a meeting held on September 14, 1960 in Baghdad, Iraq, by five Founder Members: Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. Today there are 12 members of this organization. The members are Algeria, Angola, Ecuador, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates & Venezuela. The point of OPEC is for these countries to control the prices of their exporting oil. -
Soviet Union (Devolution)
The Soviet Union wanted to have a strong military to protect its country. The former Soviet Union broke up into Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Georgia, Latvia, Armenia, and Stona groups and formed one power. However after the Cold War they broke up. (Political/ Military) -
Scotland/ UK (Devoultion)
The main country is the UK but Scotland has always considered themselves an independent country. Scotland has an autonomy! The is a cultural example of devolution. -
Quebec/ Canada. (Devolution)
Quebec is a providence in the middle of Canada. Canada is a protestant country however Quebec is Catholic. Quebec also speaks French while most of Canada speaks English. Canada won’t give Quebec their own independence because they're located in the middle of Canada however they are an autonomy.
