How to use the timeline templates
To use these templates:
- Sign in to Timetoast, or create a free account if you're new.
- On your dashboard click Add timeline +.
- Choose Unbound Timeline as the timeline type
- Select the template you want from the list of timeline templates.
- Give your timeline a name and click Add.
- Review the fields and sample events. Then edit them or add new ones so they fit your project.

Yes. All these templates are free to use and are available to use in Timetoast on the free plan.

Yes. You can change field names, add new fields, tweak colors and display your information in different views. These templates provide a starting point, but you're free to adapt your timelines to fit your needs.
Do I have to use a template to make a timeline?
No. We do recommend starting with a template to save time and get set up quickly. You are free to create a timeline from scratch if you prefer complete control over the structure and content.
How can I use these templates?
When you create a new timeline just choose one of these templates during the creation process. Once selected, the template will populate the timeline maker with pre-defined fields and example content that you can then customize to fit your project's needs.
Can my team work together on the same project?
Yes. Creating a timeline from a template just gives you a starting point. You can invite teammates to work on the same timeline.
Do these templates work in Classic Timetoast?
No. You'll need to select 'Timetoast Unbound' when creating your timeline as it supports custom fields.
