    Mexicans, with Hidalgo's command sieged the granary in Guanajuato, where all the rich Spaniards were. Hidalgi with his people ended up taking over Guanajuato, the birthplace of the Independence.

    Miguel Hidalgo was executed by the Spanish troops and was later decapitated. His head was then put on a pole to remind the people that treason had a horrible punishment for anybody.
