    On August 14, 1791, around 100,000 African Slaves started to revolt against their masters led by a fellow educated African man named, Toussaint L’Ouverture. The African Slaves had heard news of other revolutions of freedom like the American and it had inspired them to take action and fight for their freedom against the French.

    On January 1, 1804, The Haitian revolution had come to an end.The Haitians had fought off the French troops being led by general Jean Jacques Dessalines. The slaves greatly outnumbered the French and in the end came out on top now having their long awaited independence.

The selfishness of a dictator who had never changed his ways had caused a big split of Mexico's regions even if free from Spain.

    Though it took longer than originally declared Bolivar and San Martin were able to defeat the Spanish troops and drive them out of South America. Fighting for 14 years the Latins had finally gained their freedom from both the French and Spanish.
