    Guy Montag is a Fireman that burns books instead of putting out fies in the future dystopia created by Ray Bradbury. In this part, Guy is burning a man's house that is full of books along with other firemen.

    Montag meets a girl nammed Clarisse while walking home from work. She shows him the beauty of things he never thought to look at. She continues to walk home with him for the next few days

    Montag returs home from work only to find his wife had tried to kill herself by overdosing on pills. He called the hospital who sent a machine to change her blood. She was fine in the morning.

    The alarm sends Montag and the firemen to a woman's house. They find books and are going to burn the house, but the woman living there refuses to leave. They burn the house with her still there.

    Montag, overwhelmed with the task of memorizing the books, remembers an English professor he met once. He calls the man and Faber agrees to help with the reading. They also plan to overthrow the cituation by printing books and then planting some in firemen's houses so the public will see something is wrong.

    Montag goes to the firestation and turns one of his books in to Beatty. Beatty throws quotes from books at Montag until the alarm sounds. They rush to the house to burn it

    The firemen rush to the house only to find that it is Montag's home. He realizes his wife had betrayed him. Beatty forces Montag to burn the whole house by himself.

    After burning his own house, Montag kills Beatty with the flamethrower and a metal hound that tried to stop him. He runs to another fireman's house and plants books like he and Faber had discussed. He retreats to Faber's house

    When Montag gets to Faber's house, he finds that there is another dog along with helcopters and a news crew after him. He tells Faber how to hide his sent from the dog and Faber tells him of a resistance in the woods. Montag runs to the river.

    The news reporter gets everyone to look outside for Montag as he neared the river. They all opened the doors right as he jummped into the river. He had escaped!

    Montag floats in the river to a railway track. He follows that until he comes across the people that Faber had tld him of. They welcome him, because their goal is to bring back liturature after the war.

    The book people plan to rebuild society after the war. They watch the city get leveled by enemy bombers. After the bombing stops, they go and search for survivors so that they can rebuild their society.
