Montag Meets Clarisse McClellan
While walking home from work Montag runs into a girl named Clarisse. Clarisse is very different from everyone in the way that she wuestions everything. She teaches Montag that his life is meaningless by showing him the joys of life. -
Mildred Montag Overdoses
After spending the night with Clarisse, Montag comes home to his wife lying on the bed unconscious. Mildred has overdosed on sleeping pills. Once the police arrive they switch Mildred's blood with a healthy persons. She wakes up after the switch like nothing happened. -
Montag Burns a House Down
After the night of the overdose Montag goes into work. While there the alarm goes off that there are books in a woman's house. They get there in a matter of minutes, and after finding the books they burn the house down with the woman in it. -
Montag "Gets Sick"
After burning down the house. Montag comes home "feeliong sick." The only reason that he "feels sick" is because he stole a book from the woman's house and he read it all night. The next day he calls into work sick. Beaty (his captain) comes to Montag's house and gives a speech about how he knows that he has the book. -
Montag Goes To Faber's House
One day Montag met an old english professor in the park reading a book. After his encounter with Beaty, Montag goes to Faber's house to set up a plan to plant books in firemen's houses. Also to start printing books so that they can bring books back into the world. To easily communicate Faber gives Montag a two way radio. -
Montag Reads Poetry
Over the course of a couple day Montag starts to go crazy. Until one day he cracks and reads poetry to Mildred and her friends. -
There is Another Alarm
After reading poetry to Mildred and her frineds, he goes into work only to go right back out on an alarm. When he arrives he realizes that the alarm was called on his house. -
Montag Kills Beaty
After burning down his house Montag is arrested by Beaty, but before they can handcuff him montag takes his flamethrower and kills Beaty -
Montag On The Run
Montag runs from the scene of Beaty's murder, and he runs to Faber's house. There he gets a new set of clothes to run away with. While all of this happens it is broadcast around the city. -
Montag Meets Homeless People
After escaping the city and runnning into the woods, Montag meets a group of homeless people, but they are not just homeless people. These men has photographic memories and they memorize books. They are part of a secret society around the country that after the war hope to bring books back. -
The War Ends
After joining their cause Montag realizes that he has a photographic memory as well. The next day he hears the dreaded fighter jets that drop a bomb on the city killing everyone. They can start bringing books back now.
