Montag is walkinghome from work and meets a neighbor named Clarisse. Clarisse is very outgoing compared to Montag and she isa very curious indivual.They chat about the career of fireman and she asks him questions that Montag is not used to. She asked Montag if she has ever read the books -
Mildred
When Montag gets home he finds him wife listening to the radio and watching television. Mildred is very boring and all she does is watch TV. Later that evening, when Montag and Mildred were going to bed Montag notices that Mildred takes lots of sleeping pills and overdoses. Montag called the ambulance over and a machine pumps out her stomach and gives her new blood. -
Clarisse's Death
Mildred was talking with his wife about not seeing Clarisse in a few days. She notifies him that she got hit my a car and killed. Her family decided to move away and CLarisse was gone. -
Mechanical Hound
The Mechanical hound is at the firestation. The mechanical hound threatens Montag when he is at work and he does not no why the hound reacted this why. When Montag talks to Beatty about the situation, Beatty does not believe him. -
The book collector
Montag talks to the firemen about a world where firemen put out fires instead of setting them off, then Beatty shares shares the laws with Montag. Montag and the other firemen go to a lady's house that was found with lots of books. She refuses to let them burn them and she lights a fire herself and goes down with her books. Before the all the books burned, as Montag was putting the flamable liquid over the collection of books, he takes a book and puts it under her suit. -
Beatty's View on Books
Beatty shared his thoughts on books and written information with Montag. Beatty thinks that books are pointless and a waste of time. He thinks they contain false information about history. -
Montag and Faber's plan
Faber and Montag make a plan to put books in all the firemen's homes so that they will get into trouble. They do this because with out any firemen to inforce the laws, there will be no laws. Montag and Faber do not have enough books, so Faber contacts his friend that owns a printing press. -
The Betrayal
Mildred starts to get fed up with Montag having books in the house. She gets so mad that she calls the fire department on him. She wants a conpletely different life from Montag. He wants to be a creative individual and she wants to hve a mainstream life filled with technology. -
The Burning of Montag's House
Montag just gets called to burn a house and the firetruck stops at his house. He thinks it is a mistake, but Beatty gives him a lecture about negativities of books and tells Montag about him hiding the books. Beatty traps Montag with the mechanical hound. Montag is forced to burn his own house down. He remembers that he has books burried in the back yard and saves them. Montag escapes to Faber's house. Faber turns on the TV and they see that Montag is on the news. -
A New World
The whole city gone destroyed my bombs. Montag, Faber, and a few other book lovers were lucky enough to escape. They all rebuilt the society based on their love on books.The next morning a man named Granger teaches everyone about the myths of the phoenix. After the talk, they all go back and hepl bring a new city.
