  • Meeting Clarisse

    Montag,the protagonist, is a fireman who lives in a society were the fireman burn houses because books are banned from reading. On his way home from the fire station he encounters his new neighbor Clarisse McClellan, a seventeen girl who is diffrent from their futeristic society. They both start talking but Montag but at first Montag finds her indiffrent but is comfortable talking with her.

    Once Montag reaches his home he finds his wife unconcious because she overdoesd with her pills. He calls for help and once Mildread wakes up she claims she didn't drink the pills. Montag leaves the situation alone and heads off to work.
  • Clarisse and Montag

    Montag walks to the fire station but he is joined by Clarisse and they talk till they part ways. Once Montag reaches the fire station he has a bad feeling about the Mechanical Hound that is in the station and Captain Beatty talks with Montag about the Hound. Montag is joined by Clarisse and he feels like he has known her a long time. Also Clarisse mentions how she likes to observe people but people don't socialize at all.

    Montag brings up the topic of books with Captin Beatty but he thinks he is insaning. He brings up the topic because of all the conversations he has had with Clarrise she has influenced him of the knowledge of books and has had him question why books are banned. They get a call to go burn a house and the woman refuses to leave her books to be burnes. Monatg tries to get the woman out of the house but she still wouldn't leave until she lit a match and burned her house.
  • Montag changes

    Montag has changed ever since the woman in the burning house. He tries to tell Mildread about the stuation that happend at work but she pays no attention to him. Montag refuses to go to work but Mildread demands him to go to work.Beatty pays Montag a vist and tells him every fireman goes to a point in his career where he questions the power of books.He tells Montag the discomfort books bring to people. Montag has books hidden and tries to tell Mildread but she refuses to listen.
  • A vist to Faber

    Montag learns the Clarisse is dead and is devastated. Mildread and him cannot come to an agreement on the case of the books. Montag remembers about an old man he met in the park and they talked about books. His name was Fabber and he was a professor and had many knowledge of books but the man was very scared of Montag. he gave him his number in case he wanted to report him. Montag dials Faber but Faber hangs up because Montag starts talking about books.
  • Montag and Faber

    Montag goes to Faber's house since he doesn't want to talk to him on the phone. Faber warns Montag not to be so public about those things. After they talk Faber suggests to give Montag an ear pearce so Faber could hear Beatty and help Montag. Montag heads home and finds Mildread with her friends. Montag couldn't contain himself and told the women a poem from a book and made one of the woman break into tears. The other woman was trying to console her and told Montag to never bring another book.
  • Montag's escape

    Montag is frozen on the spot and Beatty starts breaking him down. Faber tells Montag to escape but he is unable because the hound is out there. Beatty tells him to burn his house but Montag kills Beatty and flees. He stuggles to walk but remember he must go back for the bookshe left. The whole city is looking for him now but he makes it to Faber's house. Faber tells him where he can go and won't be looked for.
  • Montag's race to the river

    Montag is on the run again he is on the path to the river that would lead to the countryside where Faber said he would be safe Although there is another mechanical hounds out there on the hunt but Montag makes it to the river where he continues but at a calmer pace where he encounters a group of men.
  • Beatty and Montag confrontation

    Montag heads to work and Beatty tries to get Montag to revele his secret of having something to do with books. Faber talks to Montag and warns him on how to answer each question. Then the alarm goes off so they go to the house that is meant to be burnt but once they get there Montag realizes it's his house that they have stopped in front of. Mildread was the one who sounded the allarm and her friend as well.
  • Nuclear bomb

    The men have memorized books so they can pass on their teachings to other people.The men get some sleep but are knocked over by a huge wave with extreame power. A nuclear bomb has been exploded on the city. Montag is screaming for all his love ones wishing they could escape. After all the damage is done the novel is ended with the hint the men will be heading to the city
