  • Montag meets Clarisse

    Montag is walking home form work one day, and he meets a girl named Clarisse. He walks and tallks with her, and realizes that she is a curious girl. Montag walks Clarisse to her house, and leaves her.
  • Mildred commits suicide

    When Montag gets home form walking Clarisse to her house, he realizes that his wife commited suicde, and he takes her to a hospital, where two people helped circulate her blood to become healthy again.
  • Woman burns herself

    Montag and his fellow firemen, including Captain Beatty, get a call that a woman has books. Montag "accidentally" stole a book, and the woman burned herself to death, along with her books.

    Montag and his fellow firemen, including Captain Beatty, got a call for someone owning books. When they arrive at the house, Montag "accidentally" stole a book, and the woman burned herself to death with her books.
  • Montag's day off

    Montag tells his wife that he's sick, and he can't go to work. Captain Beatty visits Montag's house, and tells Montag the origin of firemen. Mildred realizes that Montag is hiding a book under his pillowcase. She didn't tell Captain Beatty about Montag's book.
  • Montag reads books

    After Beatty leaves, Montag starts to read the book he stole to Mildred, but she doesn't understand any of it.
  • Montag meets Faber

    Montag goes to an old, retired english teacher who wants to tell him about books. Montag brings Faber the book he stole, and it turns out that it's the Bible. Faber tells Montag the importance of the Bible, and he tells Montag the three reasons why books are important to a society.
  • Montag communicates with Faber

    Faber gives Montag an earpiece to which they can talk to each other through. Faber does this because he is a coward and doesn't want to go out and express what he thinks about books.
  • Montag goes back to the firehouse

    Montag goes to the fire station to talk to Beatty. Beatty tells Montag about his dream, telling Montag that they were exchanging quotes from books, demonstrating Beatty's knowledge of books.
  • Montag burns his house

    Montag and Beatty get a call about someone owning books, and Beatty and Montag go to the house. Montag realizes it's his own house, and that Mildred turned him in. Montag hesitates at first, but he burns his house and his books with Mildred inside.
  • Montag kills Beatty

    Montag is shocked about what he did, and he burns Beatty with the flamethrower. He knocks out the other two firemen and burns the mechanical hound, and he runs away.
  • Montag runs

    Montag runs down an alleyway, and goes to see Faber. He tells Faber what happend. and runs to the forest where he meets some people who like books.
  • End of the city

    In the forest, Montag and the other book people, led by a man named Granger, live their days while the city is being destroyed. The city is finally nuked, and Montag and the others live out their days in the forest.
