  • Divided French Society and Financial Troubles

    In 1789 the social sytem for France was outdaed that was emerged into the middle ages. The problems were the banks going bankcorrupt, the poorest people had to pay more taxes, the taxe collecters were corrupt. The French divided into three estates which are the Clergy (Top class), The Nobles (Middle class), and The Pesants and Surfs.
  • Louis XVI Calls The Estates-General

    The three estates are Clergy, The Nobles, and The commen people. They called Louis XVI to have his financial problems figured out. The way they voted was by the estates that they're in. The king chose to give the first two estates the advantages so the commen people (the pesans) wouldn't have the great of a chance to vote. So then the third estate formed a National Assembly to go against the king to get their rights.
  • Political Crisis Lead to a Revolt

    The Political Crisis was about the peasants walked the streets in the countryside, the towns, or they would swell the ranks of the unemployed. The revolt was because the peasants unleashed their furry on the nobles for trying to reimpose on their midievval dues, so they set fire on the old manor records, so they could steal the grain from the storehouse, so they could eat, they were desperate for food.
  • Parisians Storm The Bastille

    Paris took the spotlight from the meeting in Versaillies that was about the National Assembly. More than 800 people stood outside of the Batsaile, the people demanded weapons. But they refused to give it to them. So they charged and a lot of people were killed, but the mob broke through but they did not find any waepons. But they released a lot of prisoners. The bastille is a symbol of abuse by the monarchy.
  • The National Assembly Acts

    A peasant brought up The Battle of Bastille so then they had a meeting with the nobles in the National Assembly and they voted to have there privilages ended, and they agreed to give up their old menorial dues. In "The Rights of Men" they said that the government should protect the rights of everyone On October 5th the woman marched on versailles about 6 thousand woman marched 13 miles to see the king to get their rights on the terms they demanded.
  • Third stage of the Revolution

    From the Regin of Terror thr revolution entered the tired stage. dissapearing from the excesses of the convection. The middle class was the dominate class. The politicans started turning against Nepoleon who had a lot of victories and a very strong militery.
  • Threats from Aboard

    Louis XVI failed to escape so it brought them further into hositle rumblings from aboard. In 1791 the king of Prussia and the emperor of Austria made the Declartion of Pilnitz. In the paper the king and the emperor threatened the monarchs to save the French monarchy. They might of bluffed but the French took it seriously and started getting ready for war. It was going to make a whole new and more radical phase of conflict.
  • Civil War

    The new elected legislater took office and had to start dealing with family problems and aborad. The revolutionary dropped it's value and the prices for food and everything went sky high.because of the prices going up it caused food shortages. In cities men and woman started calling sans-culottes which made the revolution in more radical situations.
  • Monarchy is Abolished

    When the revolution continued the war aboard became bigger tentions. The best Prussian forces started cutting more and more French armies. Also the royalist officers started deserting the French armies to die and they started joining emigres, while others are hoping to restore the king's power.
  • Robespierre and the reign of terror

    The country was at war with Europe and Britian, and also the netherlands, spain, and prussia. royalists, peasants, and priests started going against the government. in paris the sans-culottes started demanding less food shortages.
