    Miguel Hidalgo a priest of Dolores Guanajuato, began a "literary group" amongst other people such as Doña Josepha Ortiz- the purpose of the "literary" group was of course not to discuss about books, instead they conspired against the government in order to get equality between the creoles and peninsulares.

    Conspiracy Discovered
    Someone told Spanish officers about the conspiracy and they ordered Doña Josefa's husband to raid their homes. Doña Josefa tells Ignacio Allende the news of the discovery so Hidalgo & Aldama are aware of their persecution.
  • El Grito de Dolores

    El Grito de Dolores
    Mexican Priest Miguel Hidalgo rings the chuch bells in order to gather the people of the village and gives an inspiring speech to motivate the people to fight against the Spanish. The speech is known as "Grito de Dolores".
  • Attack on Guanajuato

    Attack on Guanajuato
    El Pipila led the attackers, he set fire into the wooden door and destroyed the city, killiing almost everyone inside. (with the help of the rebels) The Spanish and creoles who survived were exiled.
  • The Battle of Monte de las Cruces

    The Battle of Monte de las Cruces
    Hidalgo's troops won against the Spanish since they were more people fighting with Hidalgo. All could have ended, but Hidalgo for some reason decided to retreat because he was afraid of the chaos that he could face in the capital.

    The father of the mexican independence is tortured to death and executed by Spanish forces. His head then hang on the Alhóndiga de Granaditas.
