    In the early months of 1810, Hidalgo met Ignacio Allende. After meeting Ignacio’s friends, they started organising a “literary club”. This “club” was in order to plan a conspiracy against the Spanish, and planned that it would take place on December 8, 1810.

    Marino Galvan, a postal clerk told about the conspiracy Hidalgo and the others where planning and the Spanish went in search to Epigemio Gonzalez’s house. They found many weapons that where thought to be used in the conspiracy, and they arrested Epigemio. After that Doña Josefa found out and told Ignacio Perez, where Ignacio Perez told Hidalgo and moved up the date of the conspiracy.

    Aldama arrives to Hidalgo’s house where he also found Ignacio Allende. They realise that they where going to be arrested for planning this conspiracy so they decide to act on the movement.

    On September 28 Hidalgo began his approach to Guanajuato. Before arriving he asked Juan Antonio de Riñao to surrender and offered protection for the Spaniards in exchange. When Riñao heard about what was happening all over Mexico, he decided to not surrender and fight.

    Hidalgo prepared his troops to take over Mexico City and it took place in Monte de las cruces.

    On July 31, 1811 Hidalgo was executed in Chihuahua for being the leader of the Independence Movement.

    Jose Maria Morelos
    Morelos took leadership of Hidalgo’s movement, and then he was captured by the Spaniards and taken to Mexico City. They killed him there by firing a squad.

    The Plan de Iguala was in order that Mexico would become a constitutional monarchy. The crown would be offered to King Ferdinand and the Catholic church would become a monopoly.

    On September, 1821 Iturbide enters Mexico victorious.
