    Early Months of 1810
    A bunch of people including Ignacio Allende, an orthodox priest, a group of creoles and more, get together to create this Literary Club which it's function was to remove the current viceregal government. Their goal was to establish a new type of government in which both the creoles and the peninsulares had the same priviliges and oportunities. They all agree to start this 'fight' in December of 1810
  • The 'Secret' Conspiration is found discovered

    The 'Secret' Conspiration is found discovered
    The secret plan from these revolutionaries was discovered and they were forced to advance the attack beforehand. La corregidora's husband was told to attack the rioters and send them to prison. Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez tells Ignacio Allende that they have been discovered by the spaniards
  • El Grito de Dolores

    El Grito de Dolores
    It was about 5 AM in Dolores, Guanajuato when Hidalgo decides to gather his people around the church. He tells everybody that they need to initiate the movement and go kill the Spaniards. This event was the Grito de Dolores, when Hidalgo declared their independence from Spain
  • The Strike to Guanajuato

    The Strike to Guanajuato
    Many criollos and spaniards were banished or killed. These rebels won over the Spaniards in Alhondiga de Granaditas battle. This event shows the desperation that the rebels had on being independent. This is why this event is so important in history
  • The Battle of the Monte de las Cruces

    The Battle of the Monte de las Cruces
    With the insurgents victory, this battle had been all done. Hidalgo was getting close to Mexico City in relation to their freedom but his mistake was that he did not want to attack it. Little did he know that the Spaniards were still fighting for the control over them. Allende did not agree with Hidalgos decision on not attacking

    Felix Calleja and his well trained troops
    Miguel Hidalgo had to face Felix Calleja in Guadalajara. Hidalgo outnumbered Calleja's troops although Calleja's troops were well trained and with the correct ammunition. Hidalgo was forced to move northward to Coahuila or Texas

    Miguel Hidalgo dies
    On July 31 of 1811, Miguel Hidalgo is executed because he was found guilty for heresy and treason. All the traitors were killed as well but he was killed last because he was a priest
  • The battle of Temalaca

    The battle of Temalaca
    Since Miguel Hidalgo was the leader, when he was executed, the leadership went over to Jose Maria Morelos. Jose Maria Morelos got into a fight with the Spaniards led by Manuel de la Concha. Jose Maria Morelos is captured and then executed just like Miguel Hidalgo, by being found guilty for treason
  • Plan de Iguala

    Plan de Iguala
    Guerrero and Iturbide get together several times to discuse the independence of Mexico, this was called "Plan de Iguala". The plan de Iguala consisted of the peninsulares and creoles to be equal, that Mexico was going to be a constitutional monarchy and that the Roman Catholic Church was going to be the main religion to be followed
