So in 1817 San led an army on a march across the andes to chile where he met other leaders and with help freed chile. After he declared Chile free he wanted to defeat the spanish army but to do so neede a bigger force and met bolivar in 1822. Where he then went to take on the spanish army and won December 9, 1824. And all of the spanish countries in america won their freedom.

The execution of Hidalgo did not deter the Mexicans from fighting for their freedom. The leadership was taken over by Jose Maria Morelos, another Roman Catholic priest.

After hidalgo arrival, he was shocked by the poverty he found. Eventually, Hidalgo's army ran into a clan of 6,000 well trained and armed Spanish troops.
