    Pope Urban II starts the first Holy Roman War or crusade by going to spread Christianity and to protect the Christians near the holy land.

    Second Crusade

    This was with 2 crusades that happened at the same time. 1 sailed to the holy land and the other went to take over Portugal.
  • 1187

    3rd Crusade

    The holy roman empire went to take back Jerusalem after Egypt went after and took it over from them.
  • 1199

    4th crusade

    This crusade failed badly as they were looking for too much and got way to ahead of themselves thinking they had more power that they actually did.
