    In 1608 Samuel de Champlain discovered Quebec City then later he worked hard by starting construction on a fortress to keep out english invaders. This fortress was very effective.

    In 1755 Acadians were removed from what today is Nova Scotia because the Acadians didn't pledge allegiance to the British. After the Acadians were deported, the British took over Nova Scotia.
