    Quebec City was made a fur trade post for the French Colonists.
  • Hudson Bay Company

    King Charles II of Englnd gave the Hudson Bay Company monopaly on all the trading around the Hudson Bay.
  • Start of Seven years War

    The Seven Year War was mainly Britian and the Iroquois against the French.
  • Treaty of Paris

    The Treaty of Paris was signed, which allowed the French to keep 2 small islands off of Newfoundland.
  • Seven Years War End

    This was the end of the 7 year war. Britian lead by General James Wolfe defeated the French lead by Montcalm in the Plains of Abraham.

    The Royal Proclimation was made to assimilate the French into British ways.

    This proclimation was made to forbid the export of pemmican on that year because it was the main source of food for the new settlers.

    The Corn Laws were put into action, stopping cheap wheat from comming into Britian. This is because wheat from Canada was far more cheap than the ones grown in Britian, this would make food industries in Britian go bankrupt, which is why this Law was put up.

    The battle of Seven Oaks was suppose to be a friendly negotiation. However the Metis did not agree to the government's terms which lead to a battle.

    The Canadain Government buys Rupert's Land from the HBC or Hudson Bay Company.

    Partrick James Whelan was hanged for the assasination of D'Arcy McGee

    The Metis Siezed Upper Fort Gary in November. (Date not specified) They did this to get the governments attention, which allowed them to set up a provisional government.

    The Metis Bill of Rights was made to give the Metis people a comprimise for the land.

  • Louis Riel Flees to America

    Louis Riel was wanted by the government for treason because lead a rebellion with his provisional solders. Another reason is that when they captured Fort Gary, they has killed Scott Thomas, one of the important figures in parliment.

This had made lives harder for many people who settled there and cause them to loot other people for resources such as wood, and livestocks.
