    Conspiracy of Queretaro
    Doño Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez, Miguel Hidalgo and Ignacio Allende, created a plan to make a revolution against the spaniards. The criollos wanted power. They were tired of being controlled by the peninsulares, so they wanted change, at any risk.

    The Conspiracy has been Uncovered
    The consiprcy against the spaniards was discovered. Doña Josefa Ortiz imedietly sent a messenger to San Miguel to inform Ignacio Allende. Since Allende was not in San Miguel, the messenger went to Dolores to inform Miguel Hidalgo and Allende. They decided that night that the revolution was going down that same day.

    "Grito de Dolores"
    Miguel Allende screamed out the start of the Revolution in Dolores Hidalgo. He used the "virgen de la Guadalupe" to gain the support of the indians.

    Hidalgo led his group of Mexican insurgentes, and marched to Guanajuato. This is when the pipila supposidly ran with a rock on his back, and invaded the Alhondiga.

    Battle of Monte de las Cruces
    The battle of Monte cruces was won by Hidalgo and the insurgentes. He beat Callejo, this let them get closer to the main prize, which was Mexico City.

    Miguel Hidalgo and Allendes troops are defeated by a suprise attack. They pratically killed everybody imedietly after capture, except Hidalgo. Miguel Hidalgo was taken to trial, and then later assasinated.

    Miguel Hidalgo is executed. He was charged with the crime of inquisition.

    Chilpancingo Meeting
    The Congress of Chilpanzingo was held by Jose Maria Morelos. In the confrence they made the Constitution of Apatzingán, which were sets of laws for independent Mexico.

    Jose Maria Morelos is executed.

    Plan of Iguala
    Agustin de Iturbide and Vicente Guerrero made the plan de Iguala, which stated that Mexico would become a constitutional monarchy amoung other things. He finally agreed to make a deal with guerrero. They both contributed with the plan they created. Peninsulares and creoles would have equal power. Iturrbide would be in charge of commanding the el Ejercito las Tres Garantias.

    Mexico is independent. The independence movement is finalized by signing the treaty of Cordoba. The creoles get were they were fighting for, eventhough many blood was spilled. Iturbide declares himeself the Empreor of Mexico.
