    (Initiation) The Spanish searched the houses of Epigmenio Gonzàlez in Queretaro. They found arms and ammunition so they ordered the arrest of the owner.

    (Initiation) Miguel Hidalgo declared independence from Spain in the famous Grito de Dolores.
  • Alhondiga de Granaditas

    Alhondiga de Granaditas
    (Initiation) La Alhondiga de Granaditas - Hidalgo began his approach to Guanajuato. He then asked Intendant Juan Antonio de Riaño of Guanajuato to surrender but he attacked the rebel army. Just as Riaño was about to attack for a second time, Juan José Martínez (El Pípila) set fire to the door of a granary and once the door burned down they entered the granary.

    (Resistance) Callega caught up with Miguel Hidalgo’s army outside Guanajuato. This resulted in the rebel army dispersing after an explosion by the Spanish.

    (Consolidation) Miguel Hidalgo was killed by a firing squad after being found guilty for treason.

    (Consolidation) Battle of Temalaca: Fought in Temalaca, Puebla between the Spaniards and the Mexican rebels. The rebels were led my José María Morelos and the Spaniards by Manuel de la Concha. At the end the Spaniards won and captured José María Morelos, who was later killed.
