    The Start of the Haitian Revolution
    The revolution started because the Haitians were inspired from the success of the American Revolution, which lead them to revolting as well. Not only that, but the African slaves outnumbered the europeans even though the Europeans oppressed them. This gave Toussaint L'Ovouture and Jean-Jaques Dessalines confidence to lead this revolution.

    The Haitians fought against France. The revolution ended because Toussaint and Dessalines fought hard and the revolution was successful because Dessalines declared Haiti a free country on January 1st, of 1804.
