  • Early 1810

    In the early months of this year, the war was starting after 300 years of rule Spanish rule.
  • The Warning

    The Gachupines found out about the independence movement because they were warned by Criollos that refused to be part of it. Miguel Hidalgo was one of the people that was most wanted for arrest.
  • The Cry Of Dolores

    Father Miguel Hidalgo made the Cry Of Dolores, which was a speech in which he calls out all the important names of the independence movement.
  • Pipila's Act of Heroism

    Pipila was made famous because at the beginning of the Mexican War he made an act of heorism. The insurrection begun in the nearby town of Dolores, led by Miguel Hidalgo.
  • The Battle Of Monte de las Cruces

    It was one of the biggest fights of the early Mexican War of Independence It was fought between the troops of Miguel Hidalgo and Ignacio Allende against the New Spain royalist, Hidalgo decided to retreat towards Guadalajara.
  • Huge Army

    In this month, Calleja went with Allende and Hidalgo outside of Guadalajara. Hidalgo's army numbered near 80,000 to the 6,000 people, it was led by Calleja
  • Execution of Hidalgo

    Hidalgo was killed by a firing squad. Hid head was displayed in Guanajuato to show as a warning for others.
  • Battle Of Temalaca

    The Battle Of Temalaca (all the month) was fought between the forces loyal to the Spanish crown and the rebels fighting for independence from the Spanish Empire.
  • Plan Of Iguala

    Religion, Independence and Unity were the three main points of the Plan de Iguala. They were represented in the flag's colors.
  • Independence!

    Mexico gained independence on September 16, 1821. (This is the day we celebrate it each year).
