Battle of the Plains of Abraham
This was a pivotol battle in the Seven Years War.
It began on September, 13 of 1759, and was
fought between the British army, Navy, and
the French army, on a plateau just outside
of Quebec City. The land used to be owned
by a farmer named, Abraham Martin, and that
is why the name was the battle on the plains
of Abraham. The battle involved about 10,000
troops, and lasted only about 15 minutes.

Royal Proclamation
The Royal Proclamation took place in 1763 and
was issued on October 7th, by King George III.
It occurred just following the acquisition of
French territory in North America, after the end
of the Seven Years War. The purpose of the
Proclamation was to organize Great Britain, and
the new North American empire as well as
stabalizing relations with Native North Americans
through trade, settlement, and purchasing of land. -
Quebec Act
The Quebec act took place in 1774 and was an
act of the Parliament of Great Britain. It set
procedures of governance in the Province of
Quebec. The provinces territory was expanded,
it guranteed free practice of the Catholic faith,
and it restored the use of the French civil law
for private matters while maintaing the use of
the English law for public administration
including criminal prosecution. -
War of 1812
The war of 1812 was a war fought between the
Americans, and British. The American called
for war, mainly to expand into Northwest
territories, but as well as trade restrictions.
US ended up losing the battle, and the British
burned down the Whitehouse. -

member states, that by treaty, have delegated
certain powers to institutuions. A confederation
must respect the sovereignty of its members
and its constituting treaty can only be changed
through a unanomous agreemant, by law. -

The American Revolution was the political upheaval
during the second half of the 18th century when 13
colonies in North America joined to break free
from the British Empire. They started by rejecting
the authority of the Parliament of North America,
then went on to expell all royal officials.
It concluded with an American victory.
