    Haitian Revolution

    The cause of the revolution was dissatisfaction in the treatment of free people of color and slaves. France controlled their imports and exports, which angered the white community. Being inspired by the French revolution, these people decided to launch a revoution of their own. The whites wanted economic independence from France; the free people of color wanted equal rights; and the slaves wanted freedom. Leaders of the revolution were Toussaint L'Ouverture and Jean Jacques Dessalines.

    Mexican revolution

    The Leader of the revolution in mexico was a priest named Miguel Hidalgo. On september 16, 1810 he made a call for independance publicaly to the entire town. A year later the army killed Hidalgo so the rebellian turned to a new leader, Jose Maria Morelos. Yet again their leader was defeted. Ironically during the next revolt the leader was Agustin de Iturbide, the man who defeated the previous leader. In 1823 they overthrew the emporer and became independant.

    War of Greek Independence

    A fight for Greek independence among the Ottoman Empire. Alexandros Ypsilantis was the leader when he crossed the Prut River into Turkish-held Moldavia with a small group of troops causing sporadic revolts against the Turkish across Peloponnese. The cause of the revolution was the feeling of loss of a Greek nationality. They felt a sense of loss of culture.

    Brazil becomes independant
    After much debate and the resistance of King Johns plan to turn Brazil back into a colony Brazil was finally declared independant largly in thanks to his son who was moving for the independance of Brazil and even stayed in it for a while to ensure it became independant.

    Hungarian Revolution of 1848

    Cause: A meeting was called to discuss isues about the diminishing economy and taxes. The citizens were angered because taxes were being raised on them while nobals and people of the such still paid little or no taxes. This injustice is what sparked the revolution.
    Result: A man by the name of Lajos Kossuth rose up as a leader of a liberal party and, with the peoples support, pushed for eqality and civil rights. They started mass protests and forced the government to accept all 12 demands.

    In 1848 the Frankfurt assembaly issued the declaration of the rights of the german people which was based on the declerations of the rights of a man in France.
  • Italian revolution

    Italian revolution
    After witnessing the events occuring in Rome and other parts of the world citizans began demanding similar treatment. Revolts started up all across Itally and raged on forcing Ferdinand the 2nd to begin pulling troops out of towns. A man named Chales Albert published a book inspiring the revolution to continue and he also led a massive assualt on one of the kings generals strong holds.

    Sparked by a peaceful protest held on January 22nd the revolution was brought on by years of social unrest due to war, weak economy, coruption in the government, and an overbearing opressive government. The people pushed for more of a democracy with equal rights and a fair, just government. Eventually thats what they got

    Young Turk Revolution
    The young turks rebelled unfreezing the government. The government had been at a standstill for a long time and it seemed as if nothing was geting acomplished so the turks rebelled and drafted a new constitution and set up a new form of government to take over and succede where the previous one had failed.
