    The Tudor's rule of England, during which they had a great effect on the country, also having a tendency to flip flop between religions anytime the ruling monarche shifted. Specifically between protestanism and catholisim. Though they did at the very least have a good relationship with parliament

    Queen Elizabeth dies and the crown falls to King Charles Struarts of Ireland.

    James clashed with parliament often. The moment he took the role as king he came to blows with parliament saying they had usurped royal power, parliament respounded by stating that they were acting within their rights. However in the end parliament won out, James giving in during the last leg of his reign.

    King Charles continued his predisessors theme of hating Parliament.

    Parliament tried to expand their power in the early days of King Charles the First rule, in respounce he dissovled them. This would be a common theme when the two disagree with the other. For example when Parliament argue about what they were aloud to do in reguard to Petition of Rights created in 1628 by the parliament of that year.

    Parliament convinced King Charles to sign the Petiton of Rights, this dictated that the king could not raise the taxes without consulting and getting the permission of Parliament. He then dissolved parliament and ignored the petition for the next decade or so.

    Due to the threat of invasion from scotland and economic problems, King Charles calls parliament to help deal the with problem. Over the course of its thirteen years it would expand it's power in attempt to rebel against the current king.

    Charles not pleased with the actions of the Long parliament, went to the house of commons to arrest the ones in charge. However the parliament escaped through a back door and went off to raise their own army.

    Charles is captured by Parliaments forces with the help of General Oliver Cromwell.

    Charles is executed by the order of the Long Parliament for in their words "A tyrant, traitor, murderor, and public enemy" however Charles refered to himself as a "Martyr of the People" and during his execution, put his head on the chopping block and gave the command to the executioner.

    King Charles the second returns to London welcomed by the sound of a cheering crowd. He began ruling the kingdom in a way very similar to King Louis XIV, reopening theatres, establishing a certain religion, ect....

    Upon the suggestion of James daughter Mary and her Husband William the Third of Orange to become the rulers of england the couple did just that. However when they arrived with their armies to overthrough the king, they learned James had already fled, making it so they could take over easly and without the loss of lives. This became known as the Glorious Revelution.

    In the year 1689 James the second inherited the throne from his brother. And made nearly every mistake his brother didn't, openly practiced catholicism, oppented leaders baised on the fact that they shared his faith, did things like suspending laws on whims. Needless to say the idea that he might try to make the Church to its former power didnt seem far fetched
