Timeline of things that happened to me

  • Injury

    Injury
For the past four years, every Saint Patrick's Day, my dad and I go to a mountain called "Mt. Snow" in Vermont to go skiing for the day, because on Saint Patrick's day, March 17, the tickets are on sale on their website. In 2014, I skipped school to ski for the day. The snow was pretty icy, but I wanted to go on the big jump. I went on the jump and slipped, and fell six feet. My knees came up and hit me in the jaw and I bit a hole through my lip.

  • First job

    First job
After my ski related injury, I was still stubborn enough to not only keep skiing, but also teach little kids how to ski. This was my first job. What I did was pretty easy, but tedious. Pretty much all I did was teach groups of kids ages 3 to 8 how to stand up on skis on a nearly flat ground. Some of them were too light to go downhill. I worked all day on the weekends with minimum wage, but I did get some generous tips. My boss was a jerk at times, but I got to ski pretty much whenever I wanted.
  • Got my computer

    Got my computer
For Christmas my parents bought me a 730 dollar computer. I know that seems crazy, but I did pay for a little over half of it. My job only recently started at this point, so I didn't have too much money, but as I promised, I contributed what I was earning. This was something I really wanted for the longest time. I'm actually typing this homework on the computer, so I'd say it's done me well. This is a great memory for me, because it taught me that you really have to work for something you want.
  • Caribbean

    Caribbean
I'm sure I don't really need to explain how awesome the Caribbean is. In the summer of 2015, my dad won a trip for working hard at his job to St. John. It's a little island off of St. Thomas. It was pretty dry there, because they weren't getting rain, so the trees were all a bit brown. Still though, I had a great time. I went snorkeling, scuba diving (Which is awesome), learned about their culture/history, and ate good food. In those two weeks, I just got to relax and make some good memories.
  • Drive in movie

    Drive in movie
I have been to a drive in movie only three times in my life, and all of them were to the same place. This is pretty cool because not many people my age have done it, and we won't get to as they go away. You can call the waitress and she'll bring over any hot food you choose and you can talk as loud as you want (to an extent) without bothering anyone. The first movie was something new and not worth noting, but it was a double feature with "JAWS".

  • Paintball

    Paintball
I have only played paintball this one time, and I really wasn't that good. Later I found out it was because my CO2 wasn't turned up all the way. I went with my brother and we were trying to work together. The only problem was that we were at a "Big game" which happens 4 times a year and brings in tons of players. The theme was Black hawk down, where like 10 special people, "Army Rangers", are stuck in "helicopters" waiting for extraction. Out of 100s of experienced players, WE were the rangers.
  • Tour

    Tour
This was a tour of Grand Central Station. It was a bit boring because I was the only person under 50, but I still learned a lot. There was some terrorist attack that day, so I couldn't go into the "Secret" part 13 stories down but the guide told us about it. We got to go inside the windows on the giant walls and look down at everybody shuffling to their next trains. Everyone looked like ants from up there. Afterwards, I got some New York City hot dogs from vendors, and took the train back home.
  • Wedding

    Wedding
This happened recently, so I remember it pretty well even though it was somewhat uneventful. My cousin, Rachel, got married to a USA Army veteran. I wish I could be proud of her or something, but to tell the truth, this was the first time I'd seen her since I was around 8. It was in North Carolina, so I got to have some good southern food. The ride is about 8 hours, so I rarely go down there. On the way back, the family stopped in Virginia at another cousin's house, and we swam in their pool.
  • Broke the boat

    Broke the boat
I can sail pretty well, but it was a pretty rough day and my friend didn't know what he was doing. The boat is a tiny 2 person sailboat that is kept in the Hampton bays in Long island, so even if you get stuck, you have to be pretty stupid to end up stranded in the ocean. We went out from 12 to 1, and while turning, flipped over. As we were flipping it back, the mast snapped, and we had to swim it back to shore. My dad wasn't too mad, but my friend Paul and I felt pretty bad about it.
  • Made the team

    Made the team
I played soccer like 8 years ago and was pretty good, but after all this time, I lost the skill. The goalie coach is friends with my mother and he recruited me. I trained for the whole second half of the summer, so I was pretty excited when I got on the varsity team. I'm only the backup goalie, so I very rarely play, but it's still fun to practice and travel with the team. I hope to play in college
This is a video of the first game I actually played in
