The type of cause was economic. The country that was created was the United States. The reason why the Unite states was created was because Great Britain could not continue to defend the United States as well as help them economically. Therefore the U.S was created and became a good trading partner for Great Britain. -
Triple Alliance *Supranationalism*
The countries that played a role in the Triple Alliance were Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy. The cause type was political/military. The purpose for the creation of the Triple Alliance was to isolate France. -
Triple Entente *Supranationalism*
The countries that were inlcuded in the Triple Entente were Britain, France, and Russia. The cause type was political/military. The purpose of the Triple Entente was for the countries to not fight each other and to try to stop Germany from taking over. -
Axis Powers *Supranationalism*
The countires that were included were Germany, Italy, and Japan. The cause type for the Axis Powers was political/military. The purpose of the group was to stop Hitler's growing strength. -
Hawaii & Puerto Rico *Devolution*
The country that was involved was the U.S. The cause type was economic. There were no countires created instead there was autonomy for Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The reason why was because Hawaii and Puerto Rico wanted self-goverance. Hawaii and Puerto Rico were also given autonomy because if they separated from the U.S they would have been invaded therefore they stayed with the U.S because they wanted protection. -
ICO (Islamic Conference Organization) *Supranationalism*
The countries that were inlcuded in the ICO were Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and others. The cause type for the formation of the ICO was cultural. The purpose of the ICO was to promote Islamic alliance by coordinating economic, scientific , and social acitivities. -
Germany after WWII *Devolution*
Germany was a country that was created due to political/military reasons. Then after WWII Germany was divided into West Germany and East Germany. West Germany was controlled by Britain,the U.S, and France. While East Germany was controlled by Soviet Russia. Then after the Cold War the Berlin Wall came down on November 9, 1989 and Germany was once again reunited on October 3, 1990. -
Soviet Union *Devolution*
The Soviet Union broke up due to economic and political issues. The Soviet Union began to have economical problems before Gorbachev gained leadership. Gornachev tried to bring the economy back up but his plans did not work. The political issues were that people were becoming more educated and more of them were opposing the communist system. There were a total of 15 countries created and a few include Russia, Armenia, Georgia, and Estonia. -
NAFTA *Supranationalism*
The countries that were inlcuded in NAFTA were Canada, U.S., and Mexico. The cause type for the formation of NAFTA was economic. The purpose for the creation of NAFTA was to eliminate tariffs and trade restictions with Canada. -
Quebec/Canada *Devolution*
The country that was involved was Canada. The type of cause was economic. There were no countries created instead Canada gave Quebec autonomy. Canada gave autonomy to Quebec because Quebec wanted to separate from Canada but with close economic ties and because Quebec's religion is also different from Canada's. Quebec's religion is Catholic while the rest of Canada is Protestant.
