  • Interview for TEP

    I plan on starting the interview process for TEP soon.

  • Continue to work on getting my GPA higher.

    I transferred many credits from my previous college, and some of these grades were not very good. Eleven years later, I am much older and wiser, and have vastly improved my GPA but still have a little ways to go to get a 2.75. My current GPA is 2.599. It does help that I am confident in my career path now, which I was not when I was younger.

  • Contact my advisor in the COPE office to find out when I can take the Basic Skills Assessment and the Practice Texas Exam.

    The Basic Skills Assessment is one of the first steps towards gaining admission to the Teacher Education Program. The practice Texas Exam is required with a passing score of 75 prior to taking the actual Texas Exam.

  • Pass READ 4453 and EDUC 2003

    Passing READ 4453 is part of the Oral Communications Skill requirement and EDUC 2003 is required to take all other EDUC classes. I am currently enrolled in READ 4453 and EDUC 2003.

  • Apply for TEP

    Once I have increased my GPA,passed READ 4453,and taken and passed my Basic Skills Assessment, I will be ready to apply for TEP.

  • Take Practice Texas Exams.

    I need take practice exams for two reasons;
    1)To practice and understand what will be on the actual exam to study.
    2) A 75 or better is required prior to taking the actual Texas Exam.

  • Take EDUC 3003 and EDUC 3482

    Once I gain admission to TEP, I will be able to take EDUC 3003 and EDUC 3482. These EDUC classes are required before taking the next two EDUC classes.

  • Take EDUC 4113 and 4243

    These EDUC classes are required to be taken at the same time.

  • Take Texas Exams

    I am hoping to be able to take my Texas Exams in the Fall 2018

  • Take EDUC 4333 and EDUC 4713

    I am hoping to be ready to student teach by the fall on 2019
