This was the oath taken by John Winthrop and other members of the Mass Bay Colony stating that they were freeemen. To take this oath you had to swear allience to the crown,be a white male of 21 years or older, be a member of a church, have a certain amount of money to your name, be a good citizen and be endored by other freemen. Victory at Marston Moor

Charles was the first monarch to be put on trial for execution. The people beleived he was a tyrant, a traitor and a murderer who was unable to run a counrty well.
