I was brought into the world in an oddly way. This was the day I became Darion Ja'pree Slan. Weirdly enough, I came out with a full head of hair( which is now gone unfortunately.....I miss my long curly hair) -
First time walking
I was always at my grandma's house when I was younger. My uncles and Aunts used to trip me all the time.If I were them, I would have done the same thing -
The day I became the most popular kid in school
Okay, so the story starts like this.....The night before I went to school I was watching the movie "Stomp The Yard" and there was one part of the movie that I ended up reacting. So the next day started off as every other day and I got on the bus and was on my way to school. Now I don't know why I started to picture that movie scene in my head but I did and I was imitating that scene and all the dance moves he did. When I woke up from this daze, everyone was like ecstatic and cheering me on. -
Grandpa's Death
I just found out that my grandpa that I loved more than my mom had just died and I was devastated. I started remembering all the times we had together in his huge semi-truck and all the peanuts he would give to me to throw at objects. Those were good times. -
Maturity hits me
I started to understand the world a different way. I was no longer believing in that fairy tale or spiritual stuff. I have become the dreaded "teenager". This was also the year that I got my first phone which wasn't anything special it was a 1995 flip phone. I had so much fun hanging up on people and doing prank calls. -
Freshman year
I came to Westwood with a full set of classes. That was probably the funniest and scariest year that I will never forget. I learned a plethora my freshman year about the clubs and the way to finesse the long lunch lines. I also have learned and got the push to finish high school with 2 classes only. -
Varsity Bound
The year I was told that I had potential to be with the Varsity players on the football team. I was as fast as the varsity players and lifted as much as they did. From then on, I became interested in football and possibly playing in the NFL. -
My First Job
My first job wasn't all that special to be honest......but it was my first job! I had the opportunity to work for a team. I was good at my job and my first impressions were great and impressive. I was part of a custodial team and I couldn't complain cause that was easy money in my pocket. -
My Co-worker got deported
There was a guy that I used to work with. His name was Manuel Jose but we called him "junior". He was a good employee and he always got his work done. But one day he decided to do something drastic and the cops took him down to the station where they later deported him. The messed up thing about was that he had a baby on the way. From that I learned to never carry a "burner" and "cookies" on you and speed down a freeway late at night. -
Got Accepted to ASU
the day I found out that I got accepted into A.S.U. I was ecstatic. That just reinforced that hard work and dedication can pay off.
