My Life In Movies

  • The Blind Side

If I was to compare my mother to a character in a movie it would be the mother from The Blind Side, Leigh Anne Tuohy. I think my mother is like Leigh because she's a strict, encouraging, kind and caring woman who puts other people first but has a tough casing around them. You don't truly see who the person is until you get to know them.
  • Live Free or Die

The setting of Live Free or Die is taken place in New Hampshire and the whole movie is based off of N.H.
  • In Your Eyes

In Your Eyes was filmed in Exeter New Hampshire and while watching this movie I could recognize some of the landmarks I drive by all the time such as the town hall and some local stores.
  • Jumanji

The film Jumanji with Robin Williams was filmed in and around Keene New Hampshire which is another town I have been to many times.
  • Breakfast at Tiffanys

If I was to relate myself to a movie character I would say I would be Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's because she's a strong independent character who is also classy and outgoing.
  • Ramona and Beezus

I personally believe my sister would be viewed at as Ramona because she's an outgoing, kind, adventurous kid such as the character Ramona is. As well as the bond between Ramona and Beezus is similar to my sister and I because of how close they are.
  • Sisters

I chose this movie that I related to because my sister is my best friend and she's the one who has always been there for me. When we were kids she was my best friend even though we were stuck in the crossfire between my mother and my father.
  • The Parent Trap

I relate to this movie because when I was growing up my parents had a brutal divorce and throughout my childhood I felt trapped between each parent.
  • Stand by Me

I chose the film Stand by Me because when i was going through my parents divorce my friends and family were there for me when I was struggling.
  • Kramer Vs. Kramer

The movie Kramer Vs. Kramer had many scenes similar to my life because growing up I was between my parents custody battle and was stuck in the middle of the fighting.
  • Hope Floats

In the film Hope Floats there is a scene where the father leaves the daughter and the daughter is crying hysterically, I personally relate to this because as a kid seeing my father was on the more difficult side especially being so young.
  • Ferris Bullers Day Off

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” This is personally one of my favorite quotes because not only is it from a classic movie but the quote everyone can relate to be because some things can fly by in the blink of an eye and not everyone cherishes the time they have.
  • Breakfast at Tiffanys

"Because no matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself.” This quote speaks to me because this is my favorite movie that got me hooked on classics and it's a very truthful quote about how you can't run away from your problems.
  • Good Will Hunting

“Some people can’t believe in themselves until someone else believes in them first.” I chose this quote because sometimes in life you have so much put on you that you have to do but occasionally there's that one person who believes in you through thick and thin.
  • When Harry Met Sally

In When Harry Met Sally there was a scene where they're at a New Years Eve party where Harry convinces Sally he loves her and how shes the last person he wants to talk to before he goes to sleep and I've had moments like that in my life when that one person means the world to you.
