My Life

  • I was bit by my dog

I was bit by my dog
When I was about four years old, my own dog turned and attacked me. I was bit very severely in my forehead and had to be rushed to the hospital. Even after such a traumatic event, I still cuddle up to dogs whenever I get the chance. For most people, this event would make them scared of dogs, but that is not the case. In fact, I still want to go ahead and be a veterinarian, either treating dogs and small animals or treating marine animals. THis event was not a set back, in fact it encouraged me.
  • I started playing lacrosse

    I started playing lacrosse
I just stopped playing soccer because I found that sport beyond boring, my dad offered to sign me up for cheerleading, softball, swimming, anything I wanted. I always idolized my brothers and would sit with them while they practiced out by our orange net. They would give me their old sticks, made for the boys game of course, so when my dad asked me which sport I wanted to play, I couldn't wait for him to sign me up for lacrosse. I have played it for as long as I could remember.
  • My mother passed away

    My mother passed away
When I was in 8th grade, my mom passed away. The event was life changing for any amount of reasons. I've learned to adapt to a way of life that doesn't allow me to depend on her at all times. I have learned to be independent and figure stuff out on my own. I have become significantly closer with my dad and created a bond with him that I don't know I would've gotten before. I have looked for all the possible good in a mess of bad and turned everything to the best possible situation.
  • I became the captain of my Gymnastics team

I became the captain of my Gymnastics team
In sixth grade, the coach of the Varsity Gymnastics team asked me to come to the practices and observe the team, in 7th grade I was eligible to join, at the beginning of 10th grade I was rewarded with a position as one of the captains of the team. I love leadership positions so I was thrilled when I was given this opportunity. Some of the responsibilities include leading warm ups, preparing the team for meets, greeting judges, coaches, and other teams, and making sure everything runs smoothly.
  • I went to Europe

    I went to Europe
When I was 16, my best friend and I went to Europe. It was my first time traveling outside of the country and I went with her and her mom. The experience was life changing and helped me mature. I had now traveled outside of the country and I did it without my dad. Going on trips without my dad was nothing new, but I had never left the country without him. The new cultures I learned about were amazing and I hold much of that trip as close as possible because I want nothing more but to go back.
