  • First Two Years

    First Two Years
My first two years of life were pretty normal. I passed developmental milestones like sitting up, crawling walking and talking within the "normal" range. I was of normal weight and height. I've been told that I was very attached to my mom, sometimes to the point that I would cry in front of the bathroom door when she was in there! I was also a good sleeper.
  • The Play Years

    The Play Years
I started preschool when I was three years old. I enjoyed playing with my dolls and my kitchen set as well as my brothers hot wheels. I had a few friends that I liked to play with. We liked to play tag and on our swingsets. I started ballet lessons when I was four years old. I started reading around the age of four with help from my brotherwho would come home from school and read with me. I really enjoyed reading. I was still of normal height and weight.
  • The School Years

    The School Years
I started kindergarten in the Fall of 1978. For the first two weeks, I would cry every single day because i didn't want to go. After that, I liked going to school. I was a good student. I remember when I was in first grade that I was reading at a second grade level. I had many friends that I liked to play with. We would play many things like with our dolls and play games. I also was still taking dance lessons. I was still of normal height and weight.

    Adolescence

My teenage years were pretty "normal". I had many friends and was no longer playing with dolls and was more interested in clothes, make-up and boys. I was a good student and adjusted to junior high school pretty well. I was a junior in high school when I turned 16 and got my driver's license and my parents bought me a car, I also had a part-time job at the mall. With my new found freedom, I was more rebellious. I wasn't the party girl, but my grades suffered a little because of this.
  • Emerging Adulthood

    Emerging Adulthood
I got my drivers license!!!!! My parents bought me my first car, a 1978 Oldmobile Cutlass.
  • Emerging Adulthood

I turned 18 and I thought I knew it all. I went to HFCC for accounting and then switched majors to business. I was not a good student because I didn't take the time to study because I was always hanging out with my friends. I also had a part-time job. I still lived at home with my parents. At that time, I felt it was more important to be with my friends (a lot who were not in school) than it was to study hard and get good grades.
