  • Period: to

    Oral Stage

This is the stage where kids seek pleasure through their mouths.
  • Period: to

    Trust vs Mistrust

This is the stage where babies learn to trust their caregivers, mother.
  • Period: to

    Sensimotor stage

During this stage, babies start to explore the world with their sense. This is one of Piaget's cognitiove development theories.
  • Sensimotor stage

    Sensimotor stage
In this picture, you can see me crying because of stranger anxiety because I was unfamiliar with the new faces that came to see me. There were too many people in the room and that made me feel distressed because there was no trust formed between any of them. Having stranger anxiety is part of the sensimotor stage in the cognitive development.
  • Period: to

    Precovential stage

This is one of Kohlberg's moral development stages where the kids do anything to try to avoid punishment.
  • Trust vs Mistrust

    Trust vs Mistrust
Here you can see the picture of the me and my mother. This is the stage where babies learn to trust their caregivers, mother. In this picture, you can already tell that trust has formed between my mother and I because I am not crying or not feeling any stress and I am looking back at her smiling. The sense of this trust formed a trust relationship between us that is lasting and will last forever. This is part Erikson's psychosocial stage theories.
  • Period: to

    Autonomy vs Shame/Doubt

During this period of development, children start to gain a greater sense of personal control.
  • Period: to

    Phallic Stage

During this stage, kids realize their gender and get effected by it. Boys start doing "boyish" acts like their fathers and girls start doing "girlish" things like their mothers.
  • Oral Stage

    Oral Stage
In this picture you can see me putting my hands in my mouth. During this stage kids seek pleasure through their mouths by putting anything they find in their mouth. I would always put my hands and erasers in my mouth. This is also part of the sucking reflex.
  • Period: to

    Anal Stage

This stage develops during toilet training.
  • Autonomy vs shame/doubt

    Autonomy vs shame/doubt
In this picture, you can see me riding one of those baby electronic rides. I had certain toys I loved to play with. This was one of these toys. I just loved the feeling of joy that it gave me. During this period of development, children start to gain a greater sense of personal control; such as the way you dress, and the things the child owns. As an example about, I established my own toy prefrences
  • Period: to

    Preoperational Stage

This is the stage where kids develop the language, imagination, and are egocentric. This one Piaget's cognitive stages.
  • Anal Stage

This is the stage where I learned how and was able to go to the bathroom by myself without parent assistance. My parents would give me gifts and clap for me, as a reinforcement, whenever I would go to the bathroom alone.
  • Period: to

    Intiative vs guilt

During this stage, kids begin to ask about what's surrounding them. If parents scold at the kids for asking questions then the kid will feel guilt and will avoid questions in the future. This is one of Erikson's psychosocial stage theories.
  • Intiative vs guilt

    Intiative vs guilt
In this picture I am walking by the shore, trying to explore the sea water, which is a new experience for me. In this stage, I had curiosity about what surrounded me and therefore I tended to go explore it myself by touching whatever I am unfamiliar with. Even though,my family supported me and helped me explre new things. This is one of Erikson's psychosocial stage theories.
  • Secure Attachments

    Secure Attachments
I started school very late compared to others. I started school by directly going to kindergarten. I cried for few days only whenever my mom would leave me in class and go. I hated school at the beginning but then I moved on and stopped crying. This is an example of Ainsworth's secure attachments theory, where it was hard for me to feel comfortable without my mom with me in
  • Phallic Stage

    Phallic Stage
During this stage, I started helping my mother a lot in the kitchen, thinking that that is what girls are supposed to do. I would also play with barbies and princess dolls and put my mom's make up and wear high heels.
  • Preoperational stage

    Preoperational stage
Here you can see me with my teddy bear, pikatcho. Pikatcho was part of my pretend play. I used to imagine him as my bestfriend who is from another world. We had our own language that only both of us understood. This is the preoperational stage of Piaget's stages of cognitive development.
  • Period: to

    Industry vs inferiority

This is the stage of our formal education.
  • Industry vs. inferiority

    Industry vs. inferiority
This is a picture of my first grade report card. First grade was the first year I recieved tests and report cards. It was the beginning of the real deal education. This is Erikson's stage of Industry versus Interiority which part of the psychosocial stage theories.
  • Preconvential stage

There was one day where I lied and framed my babysister for breaking a glass just to avoid punishment but it was very obvious that my babysister wasn't capable of breaking anything because she was baby so at the end I got punished for lying. This is an example for the preoperational stage in Kolberg's theory of moral development, where the child tries to avoid punishment as much as she or he can.
  • Period: to

    Latency stage

    This a period of calmness.
  • Period: to

    Concrete operational stage

During this stage, kids begin to think logically about things. This is one of Piaget's cognitive development theories.
  • Latency stage

During this stage, I was a very calm person, I didnt cause any problems or trouble in school and I was a good student. It was a period of calmness.
  • Period: to

    Conventional Stage

During this stage, a person reasons out things of he thinks is wrong or right. This is one of Kohlberg's moral development stages.
  • Concrete operations

    Concrete operations
In this stage, the concrete operational stage, I started to think more logically about things and grasp more ideas and learn and develop new skills. This is a picture of my certificate for winning third place in a spelling bee. I worked really hard and studied a lot to earn this certificate.
  • Convential Stage

My mother had to travel for a week and she left me in charge. I was supposed babysit my sister and take care of her and feed and everything. I did what I was told because I thought that that was the right thing to do because I got to experience the world from my mom's point of view, where I took her place for a week. The stage where I got to experience the world from other people's eyes is called conventional stage, where egocentrism ends.
  • Period: to

    Genital Stage

    The focus of sexual pleasures.
  • Period: to

    Formal operations

This is the stage where Piaget describes as adult reasoning. People start more logically and abstractly. This is one of Piaget's cognitive devlopment theories.
  • Period: to

    Post convential

During this stage, a person uses moral reasoning and refers to his or her ethics before taking a desicion. This is one of Kohlberg's moral development stages.
  • Period: to

    Puberty and Adolescence

This is stage where some physical changes happened to me.
  • Formal operations

    Formal operations
Entering highschool is the stage where one begins to think logically and apply abstract reasoning. This picture shows my eight grade promotion, where I am graduating to highschool. This is formal operational stage.

  • Authoritative Parents

    Authoritative Parents
My parents are not considered neither strict nor negletful, they are in the middle. They are demanding and always expect good grades and good behavior at all times but yet at the same time are caring. I have a good relationship with my parents. Their treatment has influenced me, making me a better, motivated person. This is part of my social development.
  • Period: to

    Identity vs role confusion

This is the stage where one tries to discover their own identity and see where they belong in the society.
  • Period: to

    Intimacy vs Isolation

People with established identites must be able to balnce their life because of the new relationship.
  • Intimacy vs isolation

    Intimacy vs isolation
After falling in love and carefully choosing the person I would want to stay with for the rest of my life, I will get married. That person will fill my world and change my life and I would have balance between my career and my family. This is the stage of Intimacy versus isolation.
  • Parenthood

    Parenthood
I would give birth to my first baby. This would make me enter into the world of parenthood with new responsibilites ahead of me. This is part of the social changes in my adulthood life.

Unfortunately, this will be the day when I get my first white hair. This is part of the physical changes in my adulthood.
  • Generativity vs stagnation

( I am supposedly a dentist then I start to realize that I don't earn enough money to achieve my goals for the future.)
I would start to change my career instead of being a dentist to being a professor in university teaching dentistry to earn more money so I can ensure my kids' future and so I could buy a huge villa that I planned before for.
  • Menopause

This is the stage where I wouldnt be able to reproduce. This is part of the physical changes in adulthood.
  • Period: to

    Integrity vs Despair

This is stage where a person would look back at life and decide whether he or she is satisfied with his or her life. This is one of Erickson's psychosocial stage theories.
  • Retirement

By that age, I would retire from work and enjoy the money that I have. I would then relax and stay with my grandchildren. This is part of the social change in adulthood.
  • Fluid Intelligence

    Fluid Intelligence
By that time, I would be a grandmother and I would be filled with knowledge and experience to share with my grandchildren. This is known as crystallized intelligrence. However at the same, my mind wouldnt be functioning as usual and as it used to be. I wouldnt think as logically and as fast as before. This is called fluid intelligence.
