    I was born in Chesapeake, Virginia at the Chesapeake General Hospital. I weighed 8.8 pounds, the heaviest of my family. I was a healthy baby only a couple days before my due date.
  • Bluetooth

    Bluetooth
    In 2000 Bluetooth began to spread to mobile phones and computers. During this time the first mobile phone with Bluetooth technology came to market. Bluetooth was the start of new ways to communicate people. It began a new era of inventions for people.
  • Abio Artificial Heart

    Abio Artificial Heart
    This artificial heart was first used in 2001. Its the first artificial heart that powers itself and doesn't increase the risk of infection however only a few have actually used this creation. To receive this artificial heart you must one of the following: have end-stage heart failure, have a life-expectancy of less than 30 days, are not eligible for a natural heart transplant, or have no other viable treatment options.
  • Apple came out with Ipods

    Apple came out with Ipods
    Apple coming out with the IPod was a huge milestone. There had been portable MP3 players but Apple decided to come out with its own version. With the IPod came Apple's iTunes software which changed the way people would listen to music forever. There would no longer be CDs or cassette tapes.

    My first day of elementary school was a huge milestone for not only me but my parents. It was the first day they would send me off to a school filled with a lot of kids and some of the kids were way bigger than me. It was scary and intimidating walking into a place I had never been before.

    The International Telecommunications Union came out with the fourth generation (4G) in 2008. 3G had already been established but 4G had faster mobile broadband internet and higher data capacity. It also provided IP telephony, gaming services, HD mobile TV, video conferencing and cloud computing.

    Google Android
    Not only did 4G come out in 2008 so did Google Android. The Google Android in response to Apple's iPhone in 2007.Google Android is now the primary system for Samsung, Sony, LG, and HTC phones. It has also created a new range of cheaper smartphone companies.

    Burj Khalifa
    Burj Khalifa is the tallest free-standing structure in the world. It is placed in Dubai, United Arab Emerates. It's length is 829.8 m. It opened in 2010 where it would be Dubai's central busniness district. It's truly a record breaking structure.

    In 2010, the Nissan Leaf was created. It is an electronic car that benefits the environment. They still aren't very popular but are growing with time. Nissan Leaf is the world's top selling highway-capable electric car. In 35 countries, It has global sales over 200,000 units
  • Google Driverless Car

    Google Driverless Car
    In 2012, google began it's testing and modeling of driverless cars. Google wants them to be completed by 2017. These cars are designed to be in motion, powered by Google's knowledge of traffic. It is predicted that driverless cars could transform transportation.

    This was another huge milestone for me because it was the last day of middle school and I was officially going to be a freshman at Deep Run High School. I was so scared and nervous but more importantly excited to end this chapter of my life and begin a new one.

    My first day of high school was the scariest moment ever. I was so scared of the upper class men and hoped I would be able to make friends in my classes. But most importantly, it was the beginning of a new chapter in my life and I was excited to begin it.

    Getting my license was so exciting. I am one of the youngest people in my friend group so almost all my friends had theirs and when I finally got mine it was the best day ever. I was able to finally to drive on my own and go places by myself.
  • Field Hockey Senior Night

    Field Hockey Senior Night
    This was a very memorable moment because it was my last home game playing field hockey at Deep Run ever. I have been playing this sport for years and after this season I will be done so this day was very meaningful to me.
