It begun by oppressed people in the French colony of Haiti rose up against their French masters. And 100,000 enslaved Africans rose in revolt, leading to a revolution. Slaves led the revolution even though they were at the bottom of the social class. Toussaint L’Ouverture led the revolution and played a big part in it. If it were not for him a lot of things could be different now for Haiti. -

The revolution ended by Toussaints lieutenant and Jean-Jacques Dessalines taking up the fight for freedom and declaring Haiti a independent colony. It all began by Padre Miguel Hidalgo.He was a priest in a village and how he wanted to take a step into independence. So he rang the bells of his church and gathered with peasants. Then they issued a call for rebellion against the Spanish. In this revolution the Indians, Creoles, and Mestizos led the revolution. Miguel Hidalgo and Jose Maria Morelos led the revolution. -

The revolution begun by the Creoles. They supported a Spanish king but They did not trust a French king. The Creoles wanted a constant government and wanted the power to shift while also removing the king. The Creoles led the revolution. The Creoles even though they did not have a lot of power they had money and a good education. So they wanted to be in a higher power because of who they were. Simon Bolivar and Jose de San Martin led the revolution and they were experienced at wars. -

It all began by Creoles/ Brazilians demanding independence from Portugal because they have been ruled by them for a long time. Also, they had never been independent. Creoles were the main group in their Social Class to lead the Revolution. But the people from Brazil were leading their revolution. -

King John planned to make Brazil a colony again but many Brazilians did not accept that so they demanded independence.The revolution was successful because 8,000 Brazilians signed a petition for Dom Pedro to rule and he declared Brazil as independent. They were also successful at having a bloodless revolution. -

The Mexicans fought against the Spanish to declare their independence. Agustin de Iturbide united in support of Mexicos independence from Spain and proclaimed independence in1821. The revolution was successful because Mexico was independent and no longer ruled by the Spanish. -
The End Of The South American Revolution
South America wanted to declare independence from Spain. So San Martin and Bernado O'Higgins joined forces to finally free Chile and Peru. The revolution was successful because Bolivar's army defeated the Spanish in the battle of Ayacucho. This war lead them to their independence and freedom.
