    It begun by oppressed people in the French colony of Haiti rose up against their French masters. And 100,000 enslaved Africans rose in revolt, leading to a revolution. Slaves led the revolution even though they were at the bottom of the social class. Toussaint L’Ouverture led the revolution and played a big part in it. If it were not for him a lot of things could be different now for Haiti.

Simon Bolivar and Jose de San Martin led the revolution and they were experienced at wars.
