King Charles III has two sons with Lady Diane: Prince William was born in 1982,
and Prince Harry in 1984. He married his second wife, Camilla on 9 th April 2005. -
As King, Charles III is head of the state for the UK and 14 Commonwealth
countries. His roles include: representing the UK on visits abroad; hosting
overseas presidents and prime ministers; or regularly meeting with the UK
prime minister. -
Charles joined the Royal Navy and in 1971 he began his service aboard a
destroyer named the HMS Jupiter. After that, he qualified as a helicopter pilot
and joined the Naval Air Squadron. -
Charles went to schools in England and Scotland. Then, he studied for a
degree at Cambridge University in 1967. But in 1969 he was invested as the
Prince of Wales, and he completed a year in the University College of Wales. -
