    I am deaf and I was born hearing to my parents who are deaf. So, my first language was ASL. When I was four months old, my first sign was cookie. From that point and on, my parents were more than eager to teach me ASL using flashcards and telling me stories using books and their imagination. When I was 16 months old, I had a high fever and became deaf.

    I had securely attached phase when I didn't like the fact that my mother left for multiple reasons such as work, grocery shopping, or appointments. I would throw a fit and act like it is the end of the world. When she comes back, I would feel secure. I remember how I always thought of my mother as a goddess where she is so intelligent and powerful. She always knew how to make me feel happy.

    When I was little, my prefrontal cortex developed rapidly. As I got older, I started to take on new information and stored away old memories. Thats called infantile amnesia. I remember when I was several months old where I saw my dad stole my mom's bra and mimicked her by walking around the living room with the bra on. My mom ran to get her bra back and they were teasing each other in the living room. That was my happiest memory before they divorced.

    When I was around 1 years old, I discovered that I am a biologically male with male genitals. I was taught that I have to dress like a man and act like a man. By acting like a man, I was required to be interested in things that men like like sports, cars, and beer.

    I was born hearing up 'til 16 months old where I had meningitis. I had a severe fever alongside with yellow skin. I couldn't stop crying and my parents were determined that my illness was fatal. So they took me to the hospital. By the time I reached to hospital, I lost my hearing thus becoming deaf. After losing my hearing, I suddenly felt so much better.

    I have two brothers, one half sister, and one step sister. According to the birth order, the first borns are usually the ones who receive the less attention and affection from parents after their siblings were born. They also mentioned that the firstborns are intelligent, achieving, and conscientious. That especially is true. I don't receive much attention, thus I divert on working on my independence thus gaining my achievements.

    I used to have a hermit crab as my first pet. His name was Mike. At that time, I lived around 4 hours away from the deaf school in Oklahoma which means I was a residential student. My mother forced me to bring him to the school because she doesn't have time to take care of him. Several weeks later, the crab died of heat. I was crying and grieving so hard. I felt like it was unfair for him to die and for my mother to force him to live in the horrible conditions. I finally got over it in 2 months.

    When my mother had her fourth child, my sister, she decided to remove her entire uterus system, including her Fallopian tubes, ovaries, and uterus. Her reason for it was because she doesn't want any more kids and she was tired of having periods. It was a fantastic learning experience for me. She had to remain in her bed for several days after the surgery and she had a bag with tube thats stuck in her vagina so she'll be able to pee in it.

    Our of 8 Gardner's Intelligences, I would pick Interpersonal. For my entire life, I always was a lap dog. I always obeyed what people ordered me to do. Until I went to Youth Leadership Camp (YLC) where I thrived in leadership and social skills.

    My biological parents divorced when I was approximately 7 years old (2003). My father got remarried around 4 times and got divorced each time. My mother got remarried once and is still together up to this day. My step father and my step sister was welcomed to this family around 4 years ago.

    I went through identity moratorium status of identity last year when I was a student at RIT. I was confused about where will my life leads me. I always have been passionate about law and I always wanted to go to a law school. At RIT, I majored in international business and that is way off from the path that I wanted to go. I spoke with a friend and she convinced me to change my path and here I am. Gallaudet University, majoring in Government with Specialization in Law.

    My nonnormative life event is when I came out as a gay male to my parents at the age of 13. They accepted me throughout the years until last November where they decided to adopt a new religion and kicked me out of home simply because I'm gay. Currently, I'm a second year at Gallaudet pursuing Government with specialization in law so I could fight for rights for deaf LGBTQIA kids and provide them a safe space that I never had.

    My husband and I are same sex couple.
    We cannot conceive.
    We are looking into several options including adoption, surrogate, and seeing a genetic counselor.
    We decided on getting a surrogate.
    We have to choose a surrogate carefully to ensure the well-being of our baby.
    We looked into females between the age of 20 to 30.
    We looked at their family history for some possible gene-linked abnormalities.
    We found a female who is deaf and have beautiful genotype.
    We are excited to have a baby.

    I recently discovered that I have ADHD. It is an attentive/hyperactivity disorder where I am unable to pay attention in class without fidgeting with at least something in my hands. If the professor was teaching a boring subject or a topic, then I would lose my patient so quickly to the point where I would go to the bathroom and stay there for a while just to keep myself distracted.

    Currently, I have a secure attachment style where I usually have positive views of relationships, find it easy to get close to others, and are not overly concerned or stressed out about their romantic relationships. My boyfriend and I have a healthy relationship. I love him so much.

    Currently, I still do identify myself as a biologically male with male genitals. However, I do not comply with society's expectations. I don't like women. I like men, thus identifying myself as a gay male. I strive to be able to marry a man one day and have a family together.

    I predict that I'll die at the age of 94 years old. I'd love to have a small scale funeral with an open casket. I would want all of my family and my friends to be there to show that they truly love me and they would miss me. After the funeral, I'd like to have my body cremated and dumped in an ocean.
