My Life
I was living it Italy with my husband James and my daughter Isabella and me and my husband James couldn't find any jobs so we decided to go to New York City. My parents and siblings lived in Italy since they all had jobs so it was hard to say goodbye but I promised to visit when I had the chance. We went on a boat called the Starlight it took us two weeks to get there. We got a house in Manhattan in 1910 a few days later I got a job at the Triangle Shirt Waist Factory. -
My Life
The boss it a guy named Charlie he seems to be very nice he stays with all of us in till we are done working. I work like eight hours a day even though I get paid only a dollar a week. But life is still good my husband it going to try to get a job at a steel mill. I have a neighbor names Rachel who takes care of my daughter Isabella while I work and my husband goes looks for a job.My husband now has a job st the steel company. Now we have more money for food. -
My Life
My job is very quiet once and a while we talk but hardly ever I made a friend named Emma she is from Germany she is very nice she has a younger sister who works there her name is Emily. The work at the Triangle waist factory is not that easy it is a lot of work and concentration. They keep a door downstairs locked so that they can check and see that we don't steal anything. So we have to wait for the elevators to open to be able to go home. I work on the ninth floor so it is a long way down. -
My Life
I have just from work to find my neighbor lying on the floor dead. I called my daughter is she was only 4 I wondered were she was then she came down the stairs saying a robber broke in and killed Rachel before they had the chance to get in the door Rachel told Isabella to go hide it the attic. -
My Life
After Rachel died I helped her husband make funeral arrangements. The funeral was really sad everyone was crying. So after that my husband had to take some time off work to take care of Isabella while is the mean time I had to work. I was making a dress which took me about 5 and a half hours. When everyone was about to leave someone said they smelled a fire everyone started to panic. Some tried going down the stairs others tried going to the elevator and trying to open it. -

Emma was in tears wondering wear Emily was before she could find her everyone was push her to go down the stairs so she couldn't I was still stuck there When the fire started to make me lose my breath I saw Emily trying to jump out the window before she could I grabbed her and rushed her down the stairs to safety We both made it but a lot were dead. -

Emma made it too she was In tears when she saw us my husband was there to along with Isabella they were also in tears but we assured them that we were okay. Emma her sister and I got jobs as maids we were so sad when we went to the burial of all our friend who died in the fire but after that me and Emma had a happy life with our family's so we celebrate every holiday.
