This is a time line of my life from 1995-2014 for Human Growth -
Moving Day
In moved to London Ontario in grade 8 to grade 9. It was a very emotional experience for me because I had to leave all my friends behind and start highschool at a brand new school. This very much affected my emotional development because it taught me how to control my emotions when all I wanted to do was break down and cry. It also affected my social development because I had to interact with a whole new group of people. In the future I am going to have to be in new places and jobs as well. -
First Job
When I first got my job in grade 8 it taught me how to save money, the value of a dollar and more responsability. Getting my first job affected not only one of the strands of development, but all of them. One example is my social development, In my job I am constanly interacting with coworkers and the public and it has taught me was is acceptable to do when I'm working and when I'm not working. In the future I am going to be in different social situations and will also need to act differently. -
First Day of Highschool
My first day of highschool was one of the worst experiences of my life. I had just moved to London 5 short months prior and all the people I had met at my middle school had gone to different highschools. So I had to restart, again. This affected my social development once again but it also affected my intellectual development as well. It was a very big school and I had to learn all my classes and be in an enviorment I was never used to. before. -
Moving Back to Kitchener
When I moved back to Kitchener I was filled with an extreme amount of happiness and joy. I had put London behind me and I was ready to reconnect with all my old friends. This affected my personality development because whether I liked it or not, London changed me and I lost some friends. In the future I'm certain that I will be different from what I am now and I'm going to have to let go of some of the friends I have now. -
Nephew Born
When my nephew was born it was an exciting experience. I never thought I had that much love for something that I had just met for an hour. This influenced my emotional development in a way I had never experienced before. In the future when I have my own children I am going to experience the same unconditional love for something that had just come into this world. -
Finished Driver Training
Finishing driver training was a very big accomplishment for me. I had just learned a new skill and was very proud of it. It affected my intellectual development because I had learned something new and it also affected my physical development because I had to use a lot of my motor skills when I am driving. In the future I anticipate that I will improve my driving skills(even though I'm awesome now) which will affect my intellectual development. -
My First Boyfriend
On January 25, 2012 I begun my relationship with Bradley Preiss. He is my first boyfriend so of course a whole new rush of emotions and social situations and intellectual decisions came in. I had to meet his family which put me in a new situation which extremely influenced my social development. It also affected my intellectual development because as I'm sure you know, boys are very dumb. So I had to look at things differently than ever before to understand what was going through his mind. -
G2
When I got my G2 I had felt very proud of myself because I had done something that not many people had done yet. I was the first of my friends and one of the first people in the school. It had influenced not only my intellectual development but my social development too. I had to learn how to say no to people asking me for rides and having to get mad at people for not giving me gas money and with that also comes stress and moral development as well. -
Second Job
When I got my second job I was happy but then reality soon began to sink in. My "social life" was now over. I have a boyfriend, school, friends and another job and how was I supposed to juggle all of them? I eventually made it work but it affected my social development and it also affected my physical development. I've been running on little sleep and at times it can be very exaughsting. -
High School Graduation
My high school graduation will be one of the most cherished accomplishments I will have. It will mark a great influence in my intellectual development by doing my best and getting rewarded in doing so. It will also be an emotional and social development when I will probably never see most of those people again. In the future I'm going to have to say goodbye to some good friends of mine, so this will be just the start.
