Montag is walking down the road. He approaches Clarisse (a 17 year old girl) and they start talking. They walk to her house. He starts looking for her every time he is walking.

Montag gets home at night. He steps on an empty sleeping pill bottle, and realizes that his wife overdosed. He calls the ambulance, and they pump the medicine out of her.

Montag doesn't walk with Clarisse for a while. He asks his wife if she has seen her lately, and she tells him that Clarisse died.

After Clarisse dies, Montag gets curious about books. He tries to plan out a way to get one to take home.

When the firemen go to a house that needs burning, he grabs a book and takes it home. The book ends up being The Bible. He later shows it to his wife. He then decides he needs a teacher to eduacate him on books (Professor Faber)

Montag won't return the books he has, so his wife pulls the alarm. The firemen go to his house to burn it.

Mildred pulls the alarm. Montag and the other firemen get to his house. He wont give them the books. Montag kills Beatty with a flame thrower.

When the firemen come to Montag's house and try to get the books, he runs away. He escapes through the back alleys.

Once he gets away from the firemen the governmet goes after him. While he is running away from them he gets shot at, but they set up a scapegoat to allow everyone to believe Montag has been captured.

Montag gets away from the government and meets old, forgotten professors. They start memorizing books.

Montag follows the train tracks until he sees the faint glow of a fire.

Montag views from the woods as a bomb explodes in the city. This offers complete closer to who he once was.
