I was living with my mom in Topeka when after a week or so of kindergarten, my dad moved my sister and I to KC and I started at Renner Elementary. Some guilt because we were supposed to go back to my mom after a weekend with my dad, but we didn't. My dad gained custody and I saw my mom every other weekend. Some initiative because I was extremely shy and had to adjust to a new school. -

My mom remarried to Thomas. I was startled, upset, and confused. Felt inferior for a long time because due to the culture he comes from (he's from India) his thoughts and actions were unfamiliar and unpredictable -

My siblings and I started Operation Bear Hugs. We collected stuffed animals to give to kids at Childrens' Mercy Hospital. We even got recognized in the KC Star -

Moved yet again after third grade. Went to Hawthorn Elementary for fourth grade -

My dad remarried to Shelley. Through this I gained my step-brother Cameron, who is three years younger than me. I've gained a sense of identity through this because I live with my dad and Shelley and I've become closer to Shelley than I have to my mom. -
