King CharlesThe I was born December 19, 1600 in Fife,Scotland . He was the second son of James the IV of Scotland and Anne of Denmark.

Charles was created Prince of Wales in 1616. As a result of Henry's death, Charles inherited the throne. His father, King James instructed him on every aspect of ruling a kingdom which he would put to use later on as king.

Charles became king in 1625. Charles succeeded his father, James the VI after his death. He became the ruler of tnhree nations including England, Scotland, and Ireland.

King Charles was never fond of parliament, which is why by 1629 he had already dismissed parliament a total of three times. However, in 1629 King Charles completely dissolved parliament, making him a solitary ruler until 1640. This forced Charles to take nonparliamentary actions, angering a lot of people.

In collaboration with Archbishop Laud, Charles forced religious books on the scots. This went disastrously wrong for Charles as this resulted in the uprising of the Scottish national convent. from here, war sparked between the Scots and the Eglish.

In order to finance the war, Charles was forced to bring back parliament. This ended his eleven years of reign. Short parliament was summoned and then quickly dismissed three weeks later when they refuse to grant him money.

King Charles the I went on to have another quarrel with parliament. During the spring of 1642, Charles tried to have five members from parliament arrested. King Charles Failed and from here the civil war broke out in England.

In 1646, after the creation of the new model army, The Royalist faction was defeated. This led to King Charles surrendering to the scots. The Scots then handed him over to parliament who pput him in prison.

King Charles escapes the Island of Wight using his last remaining influences. He turns to the Scotts for help and signs the " The Engagement". He promised to impose Presbyterianism in England in exchange for a Scottish army to fight against Parliament.

While escaping the Island of Wight Charles was recaptured in 1648. He is found guilty of high treason. The last of Scotts army that was helping King Charles was defeated at Preston on august of 1648.

Charles The I went on trail January 20th,1649. He was later sentenced to death January 27th due to not cooporating with the judge. Finally, on January 30th he was executed in london, england by decapitation.
