Samuel and his crew are the first europeans to create a setlement in Canada, they settle in quebec. This is very impoirtant because with this settlement it allows europeans to start moving over to Canada. Quebec is also a key location helping them in was like the war of 812. This is also key because with them being French settlers, it add a second language to the country.

Louis Riel becomes an American citizen after his long fought battle, fighting for the beliefs of the Metis. He was very passionate and helped many Metis out but was forced to leave Canada as he was wanted for murder. With his banish of 5 years from Canada, in that time the Supreme Court is created.
