Brother is born
My brother and I have always been very close and I have alway felt somewhat responsible and protective of him. I am so thankful to have a brother like this one. -
Grandpa Dwayne dies
photo credit I was very close with my grandpa so his pasing was very sad. My parents, I think, handled the situation very well because they told me that he was in a better place becaue he wasn't hurting anymore and he would always be with me. It is these words that still help me deal with death. -
Uncle enlists in Army
I was very upset when my uncle enlisted in the army even though I can see now that it was possibly the best decision he could have made for his own life. However, I have never been able to get the relationship back with him that I had before. -
parent's divorce
image credit Parent's divorces always influence children. Mine can be seen as both a negative and positve experience. Negative because it broke my family apart but positive because I got my step mom out of it and because I was no longer in the environemnt I was in when my parents were together. -
Dad moves back to Arizona from California

Dad and step-mom get married
I was the flower girl and maid of honor in my parents small wedding. I am thankful for this woman being in my life and my dads life every day. She is an amazing woman who has shown me what love and marriage should look like. -
graduate high school

move out of moms house
I moved out of my moms house after graduating high school. I had wanted to move in with my dad for a while before then but had talked to my mom and decided not to until I had actually graduated. My mom and I didn't really get along very well while I was living with her. I feel as though I get along with her a lot better now that I don't live there. -
Move out of dads house into my own apartment
I just recently moved out of my parents house into an apartment with one of my bestfriends from high school. I honestly love living my myself and never really felt like an "adult" until I made the move.
