FELONY (?) VANDALISM
The violence escalates in my home. I get beat up seriously, pushed off my porch, and my tenants block me from entering. To distract them, I throw a chair at Ed Gray, Jr.'s car windshield. It bounces off. I run when Ed charges me. I make six calls to the police for help, but they refuse on the grounds that they've already been to the house that day. * -
BRANDISHING DEADLY WEAPON NOT IN SELF DEFENSE
Whatever violence went on at my house, I can't recall specifically now. It was sufficient that I went to Glen's (my neighbor) house for the evening. He walked me home through my back yard where Ed struck a threatening pose, waiting for me at the back door. I was scared, but brave "on the leash" with Glen right there, and said, "Get the fuck off my property." Glen had the presence of mind to tell me to keep my mouth shut and escort me back to his house. We called 9-1-1 from there and waited... -
DUI
The night before I'd nailed my doors and windows shut. My niece told me to call the police. After they left, interviewing only the guys while I refused to come outside, my sister and niece and her kids came over to comfort me. Glen also came over, offering me respite at his house for the evening. Ed came in, but left when he saw I had visitors. I stayed at Glen's that night... -
BURGLARY OF MY OWN HOUSE (?)
On the morning I was to appear for (I believe the vandalism charge), my sister called me saying two police had visited her. They wanted to know if I was at her house, then if I'd left anything there. She told them, "No." Five minutes later the two were at my door. I invited them inside. They declined, but told me to step outside on my porch, which I did. They asked me what I knew about a television, and looked at my big tv in my living room. To this day, I have no idea why the cuffs went on...
