    William of Normandy creates the Parliament which stats off the decline of power of being in one person. It allows the people to gain and have power in government politics or other things going on during the time period. As time went by the Parliament grew in size and power which limited the monarchies power by taking some of it away.

    In May of 1628 the Parliament made a document that lays out specific guidelines, rules and liberties that the king cannot violate. It limits his power since the king cannot violate the rules any more without repercussions. One rule was that you can't tax without the consent of the Parliament. It prevents the king from having total control over the people and gives some power to the people.

    It was a document with 204 grievances from the parliament to King Charles I. It pointed out the weakness of a single ruler like Charles I and made the Parliament seem stronger. It showed that the Parliament was trying to fix the problems and is was showing that the people were gaining more power not the king.

    The English Revolution or english Civil War was a civil war that expressed peoples hatred toward absolution in England. It was about the abuses of powers and special rights that the King got when he was in power. People were feed up with the monarchs in England, so the rebelled in a way to protest with the backing of the Parliament. Their goal was to get rid of the one ruler with all the power and have shared power. that lead to the Parliament and King sharing the power of the government.

    England became known as a "The Commonwealth" or "Commonwealth of England" when Oliver Cromwell took over and executed the king. He abolished the monarchy and made it a republic. It gets rid of the monarchy power and gives a chance for the people to gain power and rule.

    King James II
    King James II tired to create or achieve royal absolutism, but he did it in an illegal way. It became the last straw for the common citizens and they overthrew him. It gained more people power and it set up William and Mary to rule who then agreed to the terms of Parliament which cemented its power.

    The English Bill of Rights began and started the limit o f the government on its citizens. The Bill of Rights guaranteed the people certain rights like giving approval through Parliament for new laws or raising armies. These rights made sure that the King didn't have all the power it made sure the people had some power. It allowed the average citizen to voice their opinion to some degree through the Parliament in government policies. It prevented the monarchy style of government from getting to
