    The Aztecs built their capital city, called Tenochitilan, in the conter of Lake Texcoco. They believed that they were the chosen people of Huitzilopochtli. When Huitzilopochtli told them that they would live on the island in the center of Lake Texcoc, that being the reason they built it there.

    The ninth ruler of Tenochitilan. He was killed early in the Spanish Conquest of Mexico. People say he was weak-minded and indecisive when it came to being a leader.

    Christopher Columbus asked the queen of Spain permission to sail to find new land. The queen agreed and even granted Columbus with ships and men. Columbus sailed on trying to find India. Instead he stumbled upon what are now The Bahamas. It took him almost a month to get there. That is when he discovered America.
