    Getting Into Martial Arts
    When I first got into martial arts, it was hard but I enjoyed the difficulty of it. Currently, I am still doing it and from it, I am much better at sports than if I wasn't. It's made me stronger both mentally and physically.

    Starting middle school, I was very nervous as this was the start of school getting serious. I joined a lot of activities in middle school to find what I was good at, liked, and to meet new people. From middle school, I was able to choose what I wanted to do now and further continue what that is.

    Why I got into cubing was because I found it interesting to see people solve them in seconds. I got my cube as a gift from Christmas and almost completely forgot about it. I then was one day determined to solve it and I did. I was so proud of myself and eventually memorized the way to solve it. Today, I am learning a new and much more efficient way to solve the cube and maybe be able to do it in under 10 seconds one day.

    When I joined band, I chose the trumpet to play. It seemed like a simple instrument to get into and I was able to play it during the mouthpiece testing. I still play the trumpet and enjoy it more than ever. I've enjoyed the people I have met and the friends I have made from band.

    Getting into the musical was one of the many things I did in middle school as I found them interesting and was always interested in being on stage. Because of this, I am still doing the musical now and even joined choir.

    When my sister moved out for college, it became a lot blander at home because it would only be me and my parents at home. For most of my life, it was me and my second sister at home, as my first sister was living on her own.

    When my first sister was getting married, I felt glad because I really felt a part of my family and was glad to experience it at an age I'll remember. I was one of the groomsmen and was able to experience what a wedding is like from behind the scenes.
  • Start of COVID

    When COVID started, everything was hectic and nothing was stable. School was constantly changing from not going for about a month, to being virtual, being in person, and being virtual again. Everything was so new with people arguing over everything from masks, to how this virus is being handled. It was as if the world didn't trust itself anymore.

    When my parents got COVID, I wasn't allowed to leave the house and became so mentally beaten up over this. I felt as if the world was ending because I felt like I was losing my mind. Even though we were in the same house, I couldn't see my parents and was alone for what felt like forever.
  • First Job

    First Job
    My first job was at the Snappers this year. It was during the summer when I realized I need to do something, and getting my first job was one of them. I chose the Snappers because it would be interesting to tell people I worked at a baseball stadium. Because the season is over, I am done with it, but it was fun while it lasted.
