    It started because of a religious conflict, mostly fought in Europe. There was more than 8 Million deaths, mostly resulting from disease, hunger, and the war. The war started in 1618 and continued until 1648. Throughout the years of the war it slowly became less and less about religion.     The English Bill of Rights was an act signed by William the Third and Mary the second. Who became co rulers to overthrow the king. It was signed into law in 1689. The bill outlined civil rights and is credited as an inspiration in the US Bill of Rights.
