Obtain an English teacher position
Another teacher created the pieces of this poster for me, and my students helped me choose the colors and placement of the pieces. Therefore, this poster represents my teaching career and the experience I already have. This poster will be on a wall in my classroom again. I choose the word "will" because it will happen; I refuse to say that this is a hope. -
Official End of the Hiring Season/ /Beginning of the School Year
This date marks the official end of the typical hiring season for educators. Therefore, I will obtain a position as an English teacher, and I will be able to apply my knowledge from this degree into my classroom. At this point, I will be completing my last semester, so I will have a great deal of knowledge to apply to my current placement at Little Flower School District or at any other school, should I not obtain an English teacher position. -
Completion of my Master of Arts degree
I will complete my Adolescence Education with an annotation in Severe and Multiple Disabilities Masters of Arts degree. At this time, I have completed my student teaching and just completed my last class. I plan to obtain a position in a school that has a special education program that supports students. I will be part of a team that inspires confidence in all students and ensures quality education. -
Begin Doctor of Education in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies
I would like to obtain my Ed.D. in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies from Long Island University because I would like to develop curriculum, and be more involved in what students are learning and how they are expected to learn. I hope to obtain the ability to gain administrative and leadership skills from the program. I will be empowered to help other professionals, and I will become a better woman for my students. -
Teach General Educational Development classes
Though this may seem like an unconventional goal, I do hope to teach adults who want to obtain their high school equivalency diploma. I anticipate that the browning of America and the increased demand for higher education will lead to an increased need for individuals to return to school and complete their high school diploma. I admire any individual who actively pursues his or her education, and I want to fully support that desire. -
Stay Inspired;Do Not Give Up
I will continue to attend professional development classes and continue to shape my pedagogy and abilities. As an educator who believes in the importance of bettering oneself, I want to stay committed to my mission in education, as well as inspire students and other professionals. -
Teach Professional Development Courses
The more I learn, the better I will be able to assist others. I believe by this point in my career I will be able to teach professional developments courses because I will be very experienced, and I will feel secure leading teachers in their professional path. An experienced teacher is expected to have more resources, but I aim to exceed my own expectations. -
Retirement and Being Used as a Resource
I plan to enjoy my retirement; however, I plan to still be involved with the teachers that I can assist. I want to be accessible to other professionals and students and stay active in the education in any way possible.
